Default Parking Lights Wont Turn Off

I have a 2007 s40. The parking lights won't turn off even with the car turned off and the light position turned to 0. The battery is drained but these lights are still on. Any ideas on how to get these lights off? I can't find a fuse for these lights.

There are no direct fuses for the parking lights. They are controlled by the CEM. You could check with Xemodex, with a technical question to see if that is a known failure with s40s.

The wiring diagram does show fuse 4 and 18 in the fusebox being related to the parking lights - but they power a bunch of other stuff also. Perhaps removing them might power off the parking lights

Take the bulbs out if you need the car for work? At least until you find the problem.

I would also pull every fuse one at a time to see if the problem stops. I once had the strangest interior light problem that turned out to be a blown fuse. The current was backfeeding through another fuse.

Good look with this. I have a 2004.5 S40 and have had some light issues. Usually, it is solved by restarting the car and then turning it off again after letting it run for a minute or so.
