Quality of D4204T engines
Hello folks,
It's my first post here, so I would like to say hello to everybody!
I am about to buy a nice S40 Volvo. Last week I saw a nice 2008 S40, mileage 73000km, 2.0D with 136HP inside. It looked very good, however from the VIN (YV1MS754182375XXX) it looks that it has a D4204T Ford engine. A friend of mine, who is an expert in Fords claims at that time there was a better and worse version of that engine. The better had Siemens injectors for instance. Anyway, do any of you have opinons on this engine? Is it rather reliable, or is going to break bery soon?
One more question. When I was doing the test drive I noticed, that it's hard to change to 2nd gear. How about your gears, does it work like smooth in you cars, or this model works like that and it's nothing to be worried about? Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it!
Cheers,
Atalin
