question about lambda indicator
Hello folks,
I have a 1999 Volvo S40 1.6 SE. Recently the lambda indicator has started coming on after driving the car for a few miles. If i go straight on the highway and drive at high speed the indicator does not come on or takes a long time to come on. But when driving in the city the light comes on after 10 minutes or so.
I took it to the dealer who ran a diagnostic test. The test indicated a faulty ambient temperature sensor. I had the sensor replaced and the labmda indicator control reset. For a few days it was fine but after a while the indicator started coming on again.
Does anyone have an idea on what may be causing this? I also noticed that the acceleration from low speed is not smooth. Any comments suggestions will be most helpful.
Thank you in advance,
Dimitris
