Question? "Reduced Engine Performance"
Hello Everyone,
Last night while driving on the highway, a warning light came on in my 2005 Volvo S40 T5. As the title indicates, it was the "Reduced Engine Performance" message. After this light came on, I was unable to accelerate past the speed I was going and the car was not shifting or at least not properly. It scared me a bit as I wasn't sure what was going on. After parking on the side of the road, turning the car off/on again the warning went away and the vehicle worked great again.
Has anyone else experienced this issue or know much about it?
Thank you!

Just for the future reference, you can and should (having a Volvo
) buy a code reader, some of them even read the ABS codes. But having this tool you are enabled to keep the dealer honest, or avoid the need to go to the dealer altogether.

I can throw parts at my own car myself myself thank you very much!
