I just recently purchased this Volvo a week ago and everything was working fine. I went to get groceries, and when I got back into the car, the radio wouldn't play any music. I am able to go through all the options/settings in the radio, change from FM/AM and CD function, etc. It just won't show what stations I can listen to, and it isn't playing any music. The screen shows "Preset 10" when I have it on the FM stations. Any idea what is going on?

 

Pull the fuse and leave it out for about a day. This should reset the unit, which may fix your issue.

 

What year is your car? I am guessing that it is a 2004.5 or newer. My 2005 would do this with the radio if the radio was ON when I turned the key OFF and then ON. Turn the radio OFF and it may reset on its own.

The problem with mine was fixed with a software update to the ICM and to the Radio. There is a Tech Net Note (TNN) on the issue. I think I posted it here recently.
