Hi guys,

I have a 2007 s40 and have been using the AUX feature with my phone for music. Everytime i unpugged the device I heard a loud noise from the speaker. The last time I unplugged the device the sound stopped working completly. Any idea why or how to fix this? I would appreciate any help I can get. I called the dealer, they said it could be the fuse, speakers, ect they dont know until they charge me to take a look..go figure.

 

Does the stereo work fine if you use other inputs like the radio or cd player? If so, you probably shorted out the AUX jack.

 

The radio work when I change the channel or switch to the cd option. The sound just wouldn't come on. - went in the house and came out the next day and it worked. I'm scared to use the AUX outlet now.

 

My stereo was doing exactly the same thing. There is a Tech Net Note that recommends a software update for the ICM and radio. Volvo service updated mine and it works fine now. See thread: http://forums.swedespeed.com/showthr...t=radio+freeze
