Rear Brake Pads

Rear Brake Pads
Hi. I am trying to find out about my rear calipers/pads on my 1999 S40 1.8 litre.
I am changing the pads which are DB1382.
The old pads has a small pin on the back of the pad which fits into one of the grooves to wind back piston as it has an integrial handbrake in caliper.
The new pads do not have the small pin and I have been told it needs it so the brakes wont lock during handbrake operation when released to stop the piston from turning.
No one can tell me if the pin type is required or is it all done inside the caliper even the supplier of the pads.
I would appreciate any help Thanks
