As ive been all over the internet trying to find a fix to this issue, but no luck! My rear driver side seat wont fold down as the handle has came free. I was hoping someone has a fix for this issue or just in general how to pop the seat down so i can take it apart, ive tried using a screw driver to pop the latch free, but to much avail i have had no such luck..

please someone help!!!

 

The handle on my 2001 broke also. I fixed it with JB Weld epoxy. I cannot remember how I got the seat unlatched but if I did it then so can you. Once the seat is down you remove the latch mechanism from the seat back. I think you can pull off the plastic top part of the broken lever too. Once it's free you can use JB Weld or another 2 part epoxy to glue the plastic arm back onto it's spot. Give it 24 hours to fully cure and then reassemble.

I'm sorry I cannot remember how I got that broken latch open. IIRC the handle comes forward to unlatch. Maybe get a strong light and a screwdriver. I do remember it was not difficult once you saw how things operate. Good luck. Tell us how it goes.
