Default removing dashboard *****

I am trying to clean up the interior of my 2002 Volvo s40. I have taken off and cleaned the three ***** on climate control (fan speed, air blowing location and air temperature). It was easy just pull them off and they come off; reverse procedure puts them back on.

Now I want to clean the info **** below these three and the headilght swith **** on the left of te sterrign wheel.

They do not come off easily!!!!

Are they removed the same way or they attached a different way?

Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Respectfully,

Newport_j

Sorry I can't help you, I had a similar issue. The 3 climate control ***** come off easy, but the rest do not. I have always been afraid to force the issue with them

BTW, are you cleaning off the sticky 'soft touch' coating on the *****? If so how successfull have you been and what are you using to clean them? This is something I've wanted to do since I bought my S40.

This might save you sometime. I went to a pull-yard and spent like five bucks getting those three **** and also 3 center caps for my wheels.

I managed to get that nasty stuff off my climate control *****, I used this stuff that we keep at work, its called Dirty Dog (or maybe dawg). I can take a picture of the bottle tomorrow, I tried to google it but no luck. It worked really well too, the stuff came right off no problem.
