repair manual
Hi, I'm new here... I came here trying to find out what's up with my wife's 2005 S40 T5 air conditioning. I found a thread started by Prospect62 that is basically word for word what I would have written, and from that I have a couple of troubleshooting things to try. The thing is I haven't worked on this car much and I was looking for a good repair manual (e.g. Bentley's, Chilton's, Haynes, etc) and I can't find one?! I googled it and had little to no luck. Any sources? This seems like it should be an easy one, but I had trouble.
On the a/c issue, I think reading through the other thread(s) related to this should solve my problem but if not I'll be back here to ask.
Thanks in advance for any help, and I'm looking forward to being on this forum, it's already been immensely helpful.

Here's a link to a UK Haynes manual. Although, they don't cover the T5 engine, there still may be a lot of valuable info in the manual. http://store.classicgarage.com/vos40v50hare.html
I did, umm, download, umm vadis (cough cough) and I can't login without a userID and PW, (not included, perhaps due to the source of the program). That haynes manual should help, but not being familiar with the T5 it could be challenging translating the pictures to what I have... how similar is the T5 to the engines covered in that manual?
I "stumbled on" a un/pw... I'll post back when I get a chance to troubleshoot the car. BTW she drove the car about 60 miles last night and another 120 today, a/c works fine now. ALL I did the other night in poking around the engine bay was wiggle some of the wire connections. I still want to check it out later in the week, I'm not satisfied...
edit: it's kind of annoying that I work at a marina that's a VolvoPenta dealer, and I can access all that stuff, but none of the automotive stuff...

So I did what someone else had done on this forum, which was to put spacers behind the rubber things from the outside of the clutch plate without removing the whole compressor... I was skeptical of that method for a number of reasons but it did appear to solve the problem, at least in a band-aid sort of way. The A/C works fine now, though it's only been driven locally - we'll find out what happens on its next 120 mile trip tomorrow. Of course while I was under the car I cleaned the wire connections to the compressor too, so that may or may not have helped. Thank you all for the help though, and I'll post back with any updates or if the problem returns.
