i replaced my bcs with ipd's tcv now i cant speak of a hp gain but the turbo seems to gain boost much faster than it did i recomend this part to any S40 99 to 2004 (mine is a 2002) they also make this part for many other models ... also check your wastegate adjustment mine was off by about 1/8in IPD has a video that explains how.. last but not least found a cheep and easy way to fix a vaccume line use high temp RTV liquid gasket maker and spread a thin layer over the worn area allow about a hour to dry completely before starting this has fixed my idle too high code i kept getting and now i know what vac hose to replace down the road

 

Glad to see someone did, and have the opposite problem, i idle around 580rpm

 

What are you paid advertasing person for IPD?While I dont have any issues with IPD I do have issues with this form of advertisement.This is your 6th post and 5 has some sort of advertisement.
One could build this unit for half the cost BTW search on s40concepts you will find it there.I myself solved the slow boost buid up situation via manual boost controller years ago.

 

I have seen that all of this is advertising, and it's kind of annoying.

Also puts a company in pretty damn bad light.

 

sorry if the post offended you, im not well versed in what or where to get better than OEM parts for my S40 and i was just sharing my sucess with the part and how it worked with my car im not advertising for some website or company just a novice at this thing and all i have found it hard to find stuff for my 2002 S40 seems like most sites either sell stuff for older or newer volvos i was just passing on the small knowledge of what i have found so far

 

funny you complain about "advertising" but include s40concepts in the reply isnt that advertising? but anywho thank you for the suggestion i hadnt found that site and am glad to now know of it .. as far as my post i was just happy with how the part i orderd worked and was trying to share the little knowledge i had of what and where i got it i am sorry if my post in any way offended you ..
