I havent yet looked into attempting it but before I did, I figured I would askhow easy (or hard) is it to replace the headlight wipers on a '01 s40? If I can do it myself how do I go about it?

Relatively easy. Basically just like changing windshield wipers.

 

If you want to save some money, you can by a long wiper refill and cut it to size. I removed the old blade, cut the new one with a dremel tool and put the new blade in the old bracket. I used a Trico blade from Advance Auto and it only cost about $3. I can't remember the blade numberbut just take the old blade with you and make sure the width is the same.
