Default Replacing serpentine belt

Just how long would it take to replace the serpentine belt, the timing belt and the water pump? It seems my 2002 Volvo requires a serpentine belt replacement, but while they are in there we might as well replace the
timing belt and water pump.

I know the cost of the equipment, but the time required to replace/install is a concern to me.

Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Respectfully,

Newport_j

Those are two different animals. I can replace the serpentine belt in a few minutes. The timing belt and water pump takes hours.

Yeah, you have the "might as well do it at the same time" backwards.

If you're replacing the timing belt and/or water pump, you should do the serpentine belt since labor entirely overlaps. But when doing the serpentine belt, there is still quite a bit more to do to replace the timing belt and/or water pump.

As for times, the serpentine belt pays .4 hours, timing belt pays 3 hours (and includes the serpentine belt labor) and the water pump pays 3.8 hours (and includes the timing belt and serpentine belt labor). How long it takes is different, being about 10 minutes/40 minutes/1 hour respectively.
