Well let me start with this is 1st volvo i just purchased it not too long ago wanted to switch stock headlight bulbs for hids now my right taillight doesnt work brake turn signal and reverse work but not the regular bulb or fog light i read a couple of threads with hid problems blah blah my license plate bulbs dont work either i switched to regular bulbs same problem left side works but right is giving me issues also the wipers went nuts turn off the car and still going removed the fuse put it back on now they dont work at all, like i said my 1st volvo i owned many europeans i e audi vw bmw never had this issues im going nuts on top of that is the wifes car so yeah all blame its on me can anyone help me i looked for fuses changed bulbs still problem 😩 i really like the volvo i was planning on selling my benz but if these have electric problem issues oh well... anything will helps thanks

 

nvm after a few mnts everything work seems like volco doesnt like aftermarket electrical crap

 

Most people fry the CEM relays with the HID swap. You got lucky if it works properly after you put it back stock. There are a few workarounds posted online though.

 

I tried the hids and leds with ballast, I might have to look for that thread because you can't barely see with the regular bulbs, i also read upgrade to h9 i really dont know if thats going to make much difference.

 

I don't blame folks one bit for trying to make their headlights brighter. The headlights on my 2005 are seriously dim. Volvo has done some great things. The headlights are not one of them.
