Default RTI Monitor brightness signal

Hi,

my RTI DVD unit is broken and so i'm trying to use the monitor for other purposes. in principal this works fine, but i have problems with the brightness of the monitor. it is always on the lowest level, except the first 2 secounds after popup.

Once i had an Video adapter from maxxcount which was plugged at the GT17 connector in between the DVD unit and the monitor. it had (except the gray cable with the GT17 connector) 3 cables. one for +12V, one for GND and one to set the brightness. if you connected it to +12V or GND the brightness was higher or lower (or vise versa. i can't remember). This means that the brightness control is done on this cable.

i know for sure that the connector has this pinning:

NAV to LCD Pinout (2X5 pin gray connector)

1 - Red drive 0.714V p-p
2 - Green drive
3 -
4 - serial bus control (2400 bps)
5 -
6 - blue screen
7 - drive signal ground
8 - composite sync 0-5V
9 -
10 -

does anyone of you know which pin is used forthe brightness control? i was trying to measure the pins with a scope, but due to the fact thatmy RTI DVD unitdoes not work at all, i could not find anything.

cheers,
looxer
