Hey jb, where did you get maf, I have replaced several that were put in from parts stores. Those are usually rebuilt units, also have you cleared the codes after doing the work. Sometimes if code is still in ECM although switched to an intermittent fault it will still cause fan to run. Hope this helps

Actually driving around today helped a bunch. I guess the computer had to reset itself and adjust . No more fan running on just normal operation. now I need to check the coils and make sure that they are not throwing codes. I had a misfire recorded and the wires to me seemd a bit loose at the connection while i changed the spark plugs. I'll have to check that out. SP are NGK Iridium plugs and the car seems to accept them rather than the champion plugs which by the way the car did not like at all. I could tell the difference.

Been driving for a few days. The troubles at cold start up the bogging down and low power for the first few minutes, is GONE! Now just start it up let the oil flow and off I go. No more fan run on, new thermo took care of that. New MAF took care of rest of problems. If anything I will take this car in and have it flashed by a mechanic we know who will charge the hour rate of $65.00 dollars to set up the idle properly and check my coils. So far the codes are not there only the cat code is left to fix and that is next on the agenda. BTW Scotty Kilmer website gave DIY advice on cleaning a cat out. I added 2 oz. of acetone to the tank for every tank full for a whole month. Finally cat code p0420 disappeared for like a day and was back again. Maybe my cat was really clogged and it opened just a little enough to clear the cat for a moment. Since I did all this work I may try getting rid of this code again. Any advice? I hesitate on using that stuff again although many folks have said in small amounts using acetone in the gas is harmless, others have advised NOT to do it as it can deteriorate plastics and rubber. What are your opinions on this?

I may have posted this before but for me the fix was:

Oxygen Sensor Spacer (CEL Boss)
