My wifes 2000 S40 has a chattering brake problem that I can seem to diagnose. I have done the brakes recently but there is a chatter or wobble when I brake going down a hill(ok riding the brakes) or braking hard. I recently reblead the brakes to make sure that wasn't causing the problem. Could something be loose in the front end? Thanks for any ideas. Bill

 

could be a warped rotor. Check front and rear by spinning by hand... how did you break in the pads? I'd also check to make sure the bracket bolts are properly torqued.
