S40 ecm help
Hi can some one tell me if this would still work if you only have a key that will unlock and lock your doors and ignition it's not a chip key so it can't start the car thanks for any help.

(NOTE! Immobilizer codes can only be erased with VIDA in the same car as ECM
was programmed for. To erase, follow these steps:
- Connect vehicle to VIDA and choose Software Manager.
- Order Software Product, P/N 8691406 for P2 cars
- Order Software Product, P/N 8691430 for P1 cars
- When software is available, download to vehicle.
ECM is now "virgin" and can now be swapped with another vehicle or used later.)
