S40 heating
Last week the cooling fan for radiator started saying on afetr I shut off the car. I have the car for three years but the fan always shut off when I turned the car off. After four days of this I decided to take the car to certified Volvo shop to check it out. They kept the car for two hours but could not find any issues. They requested to bring the car back for whole day so they can spend some time to diagnose the problem
I took the car home.no issues. later on that evening I took the car out for a short drive about 10 miles. whithin 3 miles the car staretd overheating which was showing in the tempatature gauge, then suddenly the overheat warning red light came on. I pulled the car on the side of the road. Shut the car off.
I waited 10 minutes started the car went for two miles and the light came on again, I stopped the car on side of the road.Open the hood. The engine did not seem to be very hot. all the fluid levels were ok.
I did tow the car home.
Why the warning light came on ? all the fluides were ok. Engine did not seems to be very hot.
What need to be fixed to resolve this problem ?
