Default S40 1.9TD over heating

Hi there, wonder if anyone can help. My S40 Diesal is pressurising the water system. Just had the cylinder head gasket done and found a leak to the thermostat housing, added some water and now the pipes are fully pressurised. The radiator does not appear to be heating up on both sides, the side with the temp sensor is very cold so fans not coming on. Car seemed fine and drives very well. No water in oil since the new gasket.

Could the thermostat be causing the problem? how can I get a good water circulaion happeing again? This was not a problem before the head gasket etc were done.

Thansk in advance

You may want to consider changing your thermostat and temp sensor. I had a similar problem and the sensor kept fooling me thinking the car is running fine when it really was not. Some times the fan does the total opposite and does not shut off. Do you have a CEL?If so pull the codes and let us know so we can assist?
