purge valve is up front on the right (driver's) side of the radiator. if I recall, it has 3 vacuum lines running into it.

here's something for the boost control valve

what codes? The monitor status colors are saying the data is not yet available - meaning the DTCs are in an unknown state until a driving cycle is complete. Once that happens the code will either reappear or the status will go green.

It is unclear to me the driving cycle. Different people tell me different ways./... Is there one correct way, or are they different for each code ?

more the latter. Some codes are averaging (such a a fuel trim code ) while others may be set as soon as the fault is detected. Driving cycle is just saying there's a period of time required to accumulate enough data. Its not like you need to do a prescribed driving cycle like when you are retraining the fuzzy logic for the transmission computer. This is to say you may need to drive xx miles or so before the code resets or the status goes green. I'm not sure of the exact miles - I've just waited to see if the code returns and my experience is some codes may take a day or two to reset (an example here is evap system codes).

I'd give the Evap code a few more days - cycle could be ~200 miles etc. When my son's S40 had an evap error code (small leak due to a tear in the hose going back to the cannister), I'd reset the code, he'd drive home ~175 miles with no code and the could would reappear a couple days later. CCM refers to a roll up of all the critical components including the evap system, misfires, o2 sensors, cat etc so it sounds like its tied to the pending status of your evap code.

Here's a good resource for reading up on how OBD2 readers work..

Ok you keep asking about codes - there are no codes shown in either of your pictures. The screen also says " NO DTC s" as in no "diagnostic trouble codes" So not sure what you are trying to accomplish.

What is shown (I/M Monitor status) is the status is the sections of the drive cycle that it has completed. The red and green labeled boxes. Missfire, fuel system, catalyst, evap system and o2 sensors - Those boxes are not "codes", they are complete or incomplete sections of the cars own emission inspection/self test. I have no idea what CCM is related to emissions (could that be components?). Have never seen that, it's certainly not what I would expect - the climate control module, for that has nothing to do with emissions.

Are you trying to complete a drive cycle to get an Emission inspection to be able to register the car? Do you just want everything green on the screen? If you don't need an emission inspection just drive the car if it runs normally.

The evap system takes the longest and is usually the last thing tested during a drive cycle, it usually takes about 17 minutes of driving under the correct conditions to complete that portion. The catalytic converter is tested after the O2 sensors (it uses the readings from the sensors to determine if the cat is working)

What else is that scan tool capable of? Any live data?

This write up is similar to the drive cycle I used to follow to get cars to pass. One addition is to make sure the engine was between 120 and 160 degrees when first starting the test. (in other words if the engine is cold, start and run to 120 degrees then turn off and start the cycle.) I would keep the scan tool plugged in during the drive and you could watch as each section was completed. O2 sensor heaters are checked when first started (for current usage) - don't remember when O2 output is checked.

A couple notes on doing a successful drive cycle...

1) Don't reset codes without REALLY needing to... that restarts the drive cycle clock, and will set all your readiness indicators to red.
2) Many (most? all?) states will pass a car with a single readiness indicator showing "not ready". I've gone through inspections in multiple states with one red readiness flag showing.
