S40 runs like crap P0026-VVT ?
So, got head back from Mach shop installed timing belts as per instructions. Car runs like crap and code p0026 which I never had before this Head gasket problem. I did not take apart the Intake VVT pulley, but the shop did remove for shimming buckets/Valves. I could tell tool marks where there were none before. Is it just a matter of playing with the VVT pulley now to get it back to where it was? I got code p0026 which refers to intake Valve solenoid bank 1 but my solenoid never gave me this before. This is a reputable shop so I would think they set it back to where it was. Car idles fine revs fine but once under load I hear loud intake sound but no go. I just checked the solenoid to show about 5 ohms so assuming it's good. Suggestions anyone?

The most common causes of P0026 involve oil level and oil contamination. The "bank 1" portion points (most often, check the specs) to cylinder 1 side of the engine. It could also be timing related but I would think you would have misfire related codes also.
I would start by checking the oil level, and making sure it's full. Also noting how the oil looks, assuming you just changed it and the filter with the head gasket, it should look like fresh oil from the bottle.
If still nothing stands out, drain the oil and change the filter ensuring you are using the correct viscosity. Check the drained oil for anything that doesn't look like out of the bottle fresh oil.
Are there anymore codes that are showing up along with P0026?

I think my int VVT is out wack. I aligned all 3 timing marks when installing timing belt but see tool marks where center bolt on VVT was removed at Mach shop. Am I right in assuming that if so I would have to reset VVT on cam pulley? Theres some procedure about locking the cam and adjusting VVT and forwarding VVT when installing timing belt. Does anyone know the procedure?
