I am looking to do upgrades to my volvo. Its a 05 S40 AWD T5 6 speed manual. I owned alot of V8 in the past mostly american models like Trans Am and an old 74 Charger. My question is about upgrades recommended. Now I have done research and looked and looked. It seems options for these cars are limited as opposed to others and can be quite pricey so I just wish to make a good choice and in the right order of priority. I have slotted rotors on the front. It has a boost gauge already. There is a cone filter added to the stock pipe for cold air intake. Prior owner already upgraded sub and amp and I changed out the 6 disc changer as it was worn out. Now I have looked at elevate, ipd, eurosport, bsr, viva ect. I am in process of changing all hoses to silicone at the moment. Now I will be honest in that I never owned or worked on turbo car so I have been learning alot just reading and doing research. I am not looking to have all the best stuff blah blah but rather just upgrade the OEM parts as this is my daily driver and I not looking to race it but I still like going fast and wish to get the most of my car. I assume exhuast come first but I heard custom is best way to go with most referring me to 40 series flow or magnaflow. Any ideas as I like a deep sound but fairly loud (I got accustomed to V8 sounds lol) and I read to do 2.5 inch as opposed to 3 inch but not sure if thats preference or facts backing that up. As I said I dont need the best but I do want quality. After exhuast what would be more reccommendations on these cars. I already replaced the fuel pressure regulator and also have to shim my a/c compressor clutch as it goes on and off. I assume maybe the intercooler be next or would you reccommend maybe upgrade the intake manifold or get a upgraded tune for the car. I have been saving some money and just like to bounce ideas off everyone whom owned these cars and tried out different things what you would all reccommend and in what order. Maybe other websites as well as I know additionally I do some cosmetic stuff. I appreciate any and all feedback and hope everyone had a wonderful holidays!!
