Hello, as you can notice I don't have enough knowledge about cars and my transmission is going a little nasty (sometimes it lose power while I'm in the traffic and doesn't go up to 30 kmph until I turn if off and on, so I was wondering, may I do a transmission swap? I mean, A s40 II automatic transmission could be changed by a s60 automatic or another?
I know this sound too silly but I really want to know.

I've never heard of anyone swapping trans to another Volvo model. Probably has to do with them being electronically controlled.

Try a drain and refill several times. Basically, drain out the old nasty fluid and replace with fresh fluid. Do this 4 times and you will have replaced 95% of the old fluid.

A flush and fill from a trans shop may work or it may kill the trans by loosening all the metal shavings that settle into the corners. People posting on here have had both outcomes. (shrug)
