Well, I thought I just blew the factory bulb after almost 5 years of life on my passenger side headlight. So, I went to Napa Auto Parts and bought a new bulb. Opened up the assembly and learned that the harness was fried, melted a little bit, and when I tried to pull out the bulb it broke into many pieces and fell apart. Took it over to my local independent Volvo shop this morning and it appears that this might require me to purchase and install the headlight assembly. Seems a little much since all I need is a harness or pigtail. Does anyone know where I can get one? I searched a bunch of online parts stores and no luck.

Oh! and Murphy's law is at play here too. Need to take my car in for state inspection by the end of the month.

Edit: Was wondering if I could use one from an older model, like an 850?

 

I don't think an older one will work.

I have taken some 850 harnesses apart and used heatshrink to reseal the wires.

But you will have to remove the headlight and seperate the plug to do it.

 

How about bezels? I changed my bulb but ended up dirtying the silver bezel. Now its not as shiny n reflective as its supposed to be. Anyone knows where I can order just the bezel instead of changing the whole headlight?
