Hello I just recently bought an 04 Volvo S40 1.9T about a few weeks ago. I am loving it! However I want to be able to listen to my Creative Labs vision M in the car since I have a ton of my music on there it would be more convient to use then CDs. The problem is my oldman is advising against taking the stock reciever out and putting in one that has the input for the Mp3 player. I'm pretty sure that leaves me w/ the FM transmitter as a solution. Can anyone recomend a good one? I have been reading a lot of mixed views in regards to FM transmitters and iunno who to believe! Also does anyone know how much it would cost to have volvo install a volvo reciever w/ an mp3 input (i think they are in all 2005 + volvos now, but im not sure) in my car? Please help me! Take it from me. My girlfriend has an FM Transmitter for her Ipod Nano. It sucks. Trying to find a good station to use is difficult enough. Then you got static almost at a constant basis. And you have to have the MP3 player and transmitter in certain postions to make it sound ok.

 

Get a tape adapter they are dirt cheap and offer better sound quality then fm transmitters.

 

well theres a problem with that, new s40's dont come with tap decks. You can go to crutchfield.com and figure out wut is best for ur car, the website is great and it gives u several options
