Hi, I have a 1997 (R) volvo s40 t4 cd, owned for 5 years, which I'm selling as a whole to someone or scrapping after I've removed the good bits. It has 4 months mot left, v5 and loads of documents and history with it, including receipt for remap, and is still taxed, although new owner would need to tax before using properly, but would be covered for first couple of days ownership. Timing belt and water pump done last year. It has a full straight through stainless steel exhaust, adjustable coil overs (not sure of brand, been on since had the car), 17" alloys, full leather interior, cruise control etc etc. I'm sure you all know what it comes with. All electrics work (or at least they did 4 months ago when it was parked up outside my mother's due to me getting a bigger car for the 4 kids). It has an Eml light on for rear lambda sensor, it's been on the whole time I had the car and never caused any problems with the running, probably due to the fact it has no cat, fully straight through (amazingly still passes mot!). Boost gauge, aftermarket cd player, both front and back strut braces. Dump valve. New tyres last year with very little milage. At wide open throttle it boosts at 1.4 bar of boost, and feels really quick. Bad bits, the exhaust manifold is cracked, sounds horrible, I've replaced it, which cracked, started making one, that soon got boring, bought another, it cracked. Had more kids, and that was the nail in the coffin. Over all cosmetic condition is pretty darn poor, it needs a full respray ideally and drivers seat is worn, buttons on dash etc also worn. I bought it in 2012 and parked it up just before Xmas just gone, other than the manifolds, it's been the most reliable car I've ever had and it always put a smile on my face. I'm not expecting much for it obviously but just seems a waste to scrap it. Especially with the mte stage 2 remap. Car is located near Middlesbrough in a village called Yarm. Would need recovering, I wouldn't recommend driving with the manifold as it is, low power and ridiculously noisy.
