Hello,
When I start my car in the morning and put it in reverse to back out the garage it's making a really loud screeching noise. It stops after I put my car in drive and start to drive forward. I notice that it doesn't do it every time, but more times than I want it to (smile). Any idea of what could be wrong? My brakes were replaced last year (front ones I think). My S40 is an AWD, so before I take it in for service, I would kind of like to know what it possible could be.

sounds like its time to check the rear brakes. Do you set the emergency brake regularly?
