Sometimes I turn my seat warmer on & its really hot. But on days when I use when its not that cold outside...it gets warm, but not hot like on really cold days...is that a built in thing, or is it my perception? I have cloth seats. I just got the car in oct. but i recall using the warmer on cold (20 degrees) days & not being able to bear the high setting, only able to use the medium setting. Today I used it when it was 50 degrees on high, and it only seemed warm

I recall reading somewhere that it adjusts the seat temperature based on outside temp.

Can't remember where though...I could be BS'ing.

 

i have a '00 s40 and i also remember reading in the manual that the heat adjusts to either the outside temp or the temp inside that car. not sure if it is the same for all years though...
