does anyone know what is done at 30,000 miles and how much it runs at the dealer?

Also where is the cabin filter located?

If I remember correctly the 30,000 mile service is a big one--tire rotation, oil change, fluids checked, brakes greased, etc. It should list everything done at every service interval in the back of your owner's manuel. On newer volvos (04 and later) the service is free. I paid about $400 for it. As far as the filter I am not exactly sure.

 

The cabin filter is located on the passenger side under the glove box. One screw and you can see the clamp. Pull back the clamp and remove that piece and there it is.

 

At the dealer it is between $350.00 and 400.00.They change the pollen filter during the 30,000 service.

 

buy the filter on ebay for $20. Change the plugs for $20. Oil change $20.

 

The 30k is replace the spark plugs,Fuel filter,Air filter,Cabin filter,Flush coolant,Flush the brake fluid,And check all suspension and brakes.

 

So add an air filter for $10. Brake fluid about $10 for full synthetic and the brake pads are abou $40 for front and back at autozone.
