Side mirror glass replacement 2001 S40
Hi All,
I have a 2001 S40 One of my side view mirrors does not heat up in the winter, so I am trying to fix it now.
How do I get the glass out to check the connection? I notice around 8 plastic clips near the rubber boot that
protects the motor. I tried pulling some of them back. I notice no movement between the glass and the boot
area. I am afraid to snap the plastic clips. Anyone gone through this or have any tricks?
Thanks,
Ed

RE: Side mirror glass replacement 2001 S40
Got the mirror glass removed and didn't even break it. I slid a small philips screw driver on the
sides of the glass and removed the 4 screws that hold on the black trim piece that goes around the mirror
and then unsnapped the clips that hold the front mirror cover on. Once those cover pieces were removed
the rest went great. Cleaned the connections to the mirror. It heats up now.
