just bought sparkplugs after market for the s40 turbo autoamtic
and the 4 spark plaugs i got one was missing a gasket...metal gasket
- can by missing one gasket hurt the car,,hurt the performance

There are lots of posts here regarding Volvo's not liking aftermarket plugs. You would be better off buying and installing Volvo plugs. Gaskets on plugs provide a seal for the hot gases and the compressed air in the cylinder. They also provide for the correct plug "reach" or depth into the cylinder head. They are there for a reason and I would not install a plug without one. BJ

 

I thought i was doing my car a favor by using Iridium but for the cost it is not worth it, they only lasted 6 months, you have to replace them every 30,000kms for best performance.
