Default starting problems

i have a 2000 s40 and when you go to start it must crank like for 5 to 7 sec. before it starts. if i go to the store turn it off then get back in like in 5 min go to start it does it again. if i turn it off and wait like a minute it starts back up perfect. ive changed the fuel cap has new wires new belt new timing belt new oil and hasnot giving me an error code. car runs really good it kinda lags a bit when you romp on it from start but then it gets going. do you have anything on this please help.

I also have 2000 S40 1.8 XS.
Easy to stall when first starting up in the morning. Could it be spark plugs or the fuel line??

Mine sounds as if it struggles once you get to 80mph. That pushes just over 3500 revs. Can't imagine getting the 124mph top speed out of it!
How high revs should you take it in 2nd and 3rd gears when changing up - 4000+??
I want to drive it well and take advantage of 122bhp but dont want to damage the engine.
