struts for 2005 S40
I need front struts for my 2005 Volvo S40i. the local dealer is going to charge $860 for the work, however, my mechanic friend said he'll do the job without charging me $95 hr for the labor, but I need to buy the parts for him.
Where do I purchase the parts and does anyone know the part # I need? He suggested I purchase Monroe Struts. I assume there is a kit for each side. We have an AutoZone nearby.
Do I have to purchase the parts from Volvo directly or will any manufacturer's parts work?
