Hey there, gots to replace front sunroof drain tubes on the 01 s40. Any one done this before or know how to fish the new tube behind the a pillar? I've tried every thing from wire snake (which is stuck and cant get out) to tig wire, but nothing wants to go. At this point I'm considering running new tube on the outside of a pillar and hopefully can fish thru the fire wall to drain there. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

 

Okay, see here's what I learned about sunroof drain tubes...attach your new tube to the old tube then pull thru. Being stupid ain't easy, I ripped out the old tube before considering how I was going to get the new one in. Tried for hours over the course of many evenings trying to fish anything and everything behind the a pillar without success. Finally conceded defeat and ran tube above the headliner into the other drain tube. Works fine as long as the car is level or leaning towards the functioning drain.
