switching from 850 to v40 1.9t
Gentlemen, i have the opportunity, to get a 2002 Volvo V40 1.9t with 73K on it. I am a salesman at Toyota dealer in Chicago area, and an old lady came and bought a car from me, and traded that Volvo. Car is in perfect condition, new timing and water pump at 67k, cars runs great, tranny shifts smooth. I did a bit of a research and noticed the car was assembled in Sweden. I can get the car for 5000 including ttl, and need an advice, from the s40/v40 owners. i looked in the V40 section, but seemed like, there werent so many users, as here, so i figure, its the same car, just a wagon. Please if somebody has any tips or concerns, it will be great appreciated

From the tone of your post it seems you may have found a good buy, especially if it has good maintenance records available?
Before paying up why not get a faults code check done just to cofirm it is all okay at the moment. Even if there are a couple of minor codes show up at least you will have a better idea of what's ahead for you right from day 1.
Have you checked the color of the ATF. May have been changed recently so would be a nice red color but if dirty looking, might be due for a 'drain and fill' to ensure she keeps shifting smoothly.
