I currently have 70,000 miles on the odometer of my 2001 S40 1.9T and am fighting ignition problems but once i get all that figured out (with "tech's" help!) I was wandering if I could still benefit from running fully-synthetic motor oil for the rest of the life of the car? Is it it too late to start. If it is not too late to start which or what brand(s) is best?

Yes you can switch. I like either Mobil one or Castrol.
