I am trying to replace the brake bulbs in my S40 and there seems to be a trick to getting the old bulbs out of the assembly. Does anyone know what I need to do in order to remove the old bulb from the assembly? I have tried pulling and turning with no luck. I appreciate you responding.

 

There are 2 tabs on the side of the plastic bulb housing that you pinch then pull it free of the lens from inside the trunk (behind the carpet molding). The bulbs then push and twist out like all auto bulbs.
