TCM failure? Random codes
00 Volvo 40 1.9T I had been having P705 coming up randomly along with P1618. My plan was to remove the PNP switch check the wiring, connections, etc. once I reinstalled the PNP I had Volvo DTC 76 (DTC set in TCM) along with 91 (Torque reduction).
I then pulled out my Snap On Modis and used the graphing mode and it showed the VSS was reading 2219 MPH, and my right front ABS sensor is not working correctly. ( I believe this is a seperate issue).
I then attempted to clear the trans code and I kept getting "error" so I had to go through the engine management to clear the codes and the TCM trips immediately and the CEL comes back on. (Volvo DTC 76).
Any help is appreciated I'm lost on this one.

Actually yes there was about 2 mos ago just enough to crack my grille, and the bottom edge of my hood. The headlight wiper pass side was damaged so it was unhooked. I will check grounds is there a ground wire in the front end that may have been affected by this?
dono the answer to that either, but if you have the wiring diagram, you can trace where the ground on the "frame" or supply temp ground wire directly from the battery to the fuse/relay block under the hood. That should share the ground witht he ecm.
