I just bought a ThinkOBD 100 scanner. It is good and the price is fair at $ 34.00. But what is so special about it? It seems to be just an OBD II scanner and nothing more.
Yet a simple google search on it claims that this scanner changes everything. How so?
That is all want to know is how does it change everything?
Respectfully,

its an entry level OBD2 scanner - that has the ability to view/interpret the emissions related OBD code set. There's plenty of competitors in this space - the only thing I see is a good marketing pitch. O2 sensor test? DTC look up? Not what I'd call game changers. Not even sure how the "onboard monitor test" differs from other products which can read live data. To me the game changer is the blue tooth models which can plug into the car's diagnonstic port, then feed data to a PC or mobile phone based app with web based tools. Reason I call this entry level since it doesn't address other code sets like ABS, SRS, resets on ebrakes and other special functions
