does any obd2 scanner work for a 2001 volvo s80 t6 and do you have to make sure it has a certain connector to hook up to the port and if so what is this connector called? do all of them give you codes and clear check engine light? Thanks a lot for anyone who can help.

 

Most any OBD2 scanner should work. OBD2 is a USA requirement. I bought a cheapo scanner at Harbor Freight for $39.00 and it reads and clears. Have not tried it on the Volvo yet, but it has read Nissans, Toyotas, Hyundais, Fords, Dodge and a couple of others.
