Hi,

I am sure this isn't the first posting of its kind....but I have a 2005 S40 base model....

I am shopping new tires... need 205/55/R16s.... but my question comes w/ the Speed/weight rating 91Vs are what I have now.....

DO I HAVE TO STAY W/ "Vs" ?? and more importantly....how bout the weight rating....can I go to a 90 or 89?? or does the weight of the volvo S40 dictate that I stay w/ a 91?

Called my local guys and they gave me the party line...whatever your car has now is what we will want you to stay with (so there is no liability).

I would try and keep the numbers the same.
Speed rating: I would stay within or above H,V.
Weight: LowestI would go is 90.
