TPMS rebuild kit for 2010 S40?
Dealer says you have to buy the whole unit for about $95 and they sell no rebuild kits for this 2010 S40. The stem has a crack in it causing a slow leak. Is that the only option, or is there a way to rebuild the TPMS with new stem? I found this (below), but I am not sure about it. I tend to like factory parts because they work. Thanks.

If the dealers price is for removing the tire and replacing the TPMS then reprogramming the ECM to accept the new one then I'd go for it. The FCP Groton one requires a reprogram according to the description. Where is the sensor? In the stem?
Reprogram? How odd. Everything works fine at the moment other than the small crack in the valve that is losing air. Not a fan of these pressure monitors if you have to deal with all this for such a small problem. Guess it will be a learning experience or a big expense, or both.
