hey guys. I have a 2000s40. I want to throw in a 14t turbo. All I can find is a single scroll. Or a dual scroll 19t which seems a bit overkill. I'm running an Upsolute tune and a 3 inch bsr downpipe currently with 12 psi of boost. Has anyone done this turbo swap or know of a good place to get the larger turbo?

 

there should be plenty of write ups online for taking a 14t and installing on the S40 gen1. You'd probably want to stick to the TD04HL family as that is the OEM design. The 14T refers to the pumping capacity and was used on some models of the S60s so they can be found. My understanding is to install you may need to rotate the ports to get it to line up to the manifold and intake etc. 16Ts should be easy to find as well but the 14T upgrade is more common as thats what was used in the T4 model.
