Unknown Wire And Connector In Boot, Newbie
Hi All
Just bought a 2006 S40 2.0D SE Sport
Got home and opened the boot to find a mysterious cable hanging down from the middle of the roof of the boot
Any ideas what this is for? Has someone nicked an important part of my new car before they sold it?
Also, should a warning triangle come as standard in the boot. If so, that's missing too

RE: Unknown Wire And Connector In Boot, Newbie
By 'Boot' I mean 'Trunk' yes.
The photo may not look like quality materials but that's how they make them here in Europe I guess and I have now seen several S40's that have the same materials and connector.
It seems to slot into the Boot/ Trunk light connectorbut the light still works if it is not slotted-in. My local dealer has no idea so I am guessing it could be a connector for a boot/ trunk mounted brake light for some countries?
The mystery continues...
