urgent health concern
my car has a small coolant leak somewhere but my main concern is while im driving the fumes from the steaming coolant are coming in the car. ive tried driving with the windows and sun roof cracked, every different setting for the heat/air and nothing helps and im starting to get sick when i drive it. I do not have the money to get this checked out so im wondering if there is a cheap way to keep the fumes out of the car until i can get it checked out and fixed? do those stop leak formulas at Auto Zone work? please help
Sounds to me like there's a leak somewhere in the heater core, which in any car I've ever worked with would be an absolute PITA to replace.
Radiator stop-leak stuff didn't hurt my '90 Miata, and I put a crapton of it into it on a few occasions, but it slowly got worse (it was a crimping problem, a few crimps on the top of the radiator that hold the plastic cap on had gone bad). Depending how much coolant you're losing, it may work, but I can't vouch for if it'll hurt an S40.
