Aloha!
So I just recently purchased an 01 S40 and I just started noticing that there are a few drops of oil on the floor in my garage. Can any of you help point me in a specific location or two...or more...that may be where the oil is coming from so that I can check to see and hopefully fix asap?

Although I am very comfortable around cars and have worked on them a bunch, Volvo is a whole new thing to me. So, if there are any known or common places to start from, that would be a great help!

I also just bought 2001 s40 and have similar problem. I went underneath and it seems it came from the seal of oil pan. i have the haynes repair book but it did not say anything about opening the oil pan.

i am really curious what others have to say.

Maybe Ill check there as well. I actually havent even looked at anything yet as I was hoping someone could tell me where I should start. Hopefully someone can help us out!
