Default Volvo S40 2.4i oil pan removal/install

Need to remove oil pan , Volvo instructions indicate to re install 2 guide pin(locating pin) are needed, part number is 9997273,
the best price I found on 2 pins are about $50, kind of pricey for 2 metal pins, I wonder if anyone who installed oil pan have
found a better price or alternative?
Also been told the $12 Volvo mini roller ( 9512767) to apply chemical gasket can be substituted by hardware store mini rollers,
any comment on roller is appreciated too.So would be a replacement for 1161721 Volvo cleaner, is it isopropyl alcohol?

I've done dozens of P1 oil pans and never needed guide pins. Just put it on straight and don't knock the new o-rings off.
I also use a foam roller and tray from Home Depot for the sealant.

thanks, your reply imply I will need new o rings too, do you recall how many or know of any kit that has sealant plus needed o rings?

There are three o-rings between the pan and block and another two for the oil cooler and one for the dipstick tube. The dealer should have them all in stock.
