I am looking to buy a new car and found a 2001 S40 within my price range. The car looks nice & I've always heard volvos are very reliable, but at 156K miles, I'm not sure if it's a great investment. I'm a full-time student working part-time so I don't make much money to spend on costly repairs and I've managed to save enough money to buy a decent car so I don't want to waste it on something that isn't worth it. Any advice on the s40 as far as reliability/ cost of repairs? Thanks a lot!!
