Hi all,

I have been having issues with my (2010 UK) S40's alarm randomly triggering. I have checked my battery and all is good there.

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem and what they did?

I am going on holiday for 2 weeks so I was hoping to disable it someway? Would I be best disconnecting the car battery for the 2 weeks or just manually locking the car with the key rather than fob?

 

I have never had this issue but if you lock the car with the little key it does not activate the alarm , so no need to disconnect the battery . when we leave RSA and go to Europe Czech Rep we normaly go for like 2 months and I just lock my cars without an alarm , but then they are parked in a locked garage all 3 of them , the Volvo here in RSA will probably not be stolen but is the most valuable to me as its only done 120k in 17 years with yearly maintanace and in great nick , but insurance value is nothing so if stolen I could get a moped !
